Privacy & POPIA notice
This notice explains how PG Health handles personal information collected through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.
What we collect
Through this website we collect the information you enter into our registration, booking and contact forms: your name, contact details, date of birth, medical aid details where you provide them, and any medical history you choose to share. We do not collect medical information through the AI assistant.
Why we collect it
To identify you as a patient, to schedule and confirm appointments, to provide clinical care safely, and to submit medical aid claims on your behalf where applicable.
Consent
You provide information voluntarily and consent is requested on each form before submission. You may decline, though we may then be unable to provide treatment safely.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required by the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the National Health Act. Enquiry submissions that do not lead to treatment are deleted within [CONFIRM: retention period].
Who processes it
Form submissions are stored in a managed database operated on our behalf by our hosting provider. Access is limited to authorised PG Health staff. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. Sensitive identifiers are never included in website URLs or browser logs.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or object to processing. Requests are actioned within a reasonable period.
